The Accessory Fair is going on right now and even though I haven’t gone I’ve seen many pretty things everyone has been posting. One thing I know for sure is that my favorite glasses shop, December is there so you should really check it out! I’m wearing Mandy’s contribution to the Om Nom Hunt Event, these glasses are so cute! Like all her other glasses these are scripted and I never tire of playing with all the options. I’m also wearing Veschi’s latest accessory, the hobo bag in black, it’s not completely finished, Alla is going to add charm options so keep on the look out for this! I’m really digging it. WOW! It’s been ages since I’ve blogged. Thank you to a hectic beginning of 2010 and a chest cold that can’t be kicked.

But there is nothing more exciting to come back to than ACCESSORY FAIR 2010. I’ve got two great finds to wet your appetite today. A lot of us at GLANCE have been enjoying this fair. And if you haven’t been there yet, what are you waiting for???

Usually I like to create an outfit, and then chose accessories that help create a dynamic look. But in celebration of the fair, I first chose a few accessories and built the outfit around it. I was pointed in the direction of an excellent recent blogpost by Emilly Orr which poses some interesting concepts about “they” and “we” companies. These terms are brought into the conversation from other sources, but basically a “we company” is all about customer service, focused on driving results for the consumer only and a “they company” has one focus, money.

Microsoft is the most regular example of a “they company” one which drives forward to make revenue, with less compulsion to satisfy its customers or produce a quality product. It’s said that Apple are a “we company” one which strives to keep the customer happy, bring the customer new products and innovations.

Everyone knows that I love all things cute and adorable.  Give me something that makes me go “awwwww,” and I’m perfectly content.  That’s why when my bff Clem told me about her new Flutterby, I just KNEW I had to make it mine.

Still goiong strong after all this time is Dusty’s Dance party every morning at Ambrosia. Dusty has something like 7 gajillion dances in her HUD and she loves to invite everyone on the dance floor to join her in doing all the latest animations. So head on down to Ambrosia around 6 AM [...]

One of my favorite things about writing this blog is mixing and matching pieces from different designers to create a new look.  It’s probably the main reason I got into blogging in the first place, honestly.  And I’ve not been doing nearly enough of that recently.  To that end, I decided to take my most recent purchase and build an outfit to show all of you.  It all started with the Wool Frill Skirt by Miamai.

The issues never end, do they? First issue was a series of laptop blanks and freezes. Those came about after a Windows Vista patch and then Tweetdeck using Adobe AIR. The video card was overheating and shutting things down, so I blew out the dust with compressed air and got a powered fan base for the laptop. Oh, and bye bye Tweetdeck. Then, I ran into WiFi issues. Neighbors appear to have wireless cards that spray like tomcats with ten pound nutsacks. Had to find a decent cleared channel to avoid their crap, but I connect via a network cable when something's important now. Speaking of ten pound nutsacks... EYES FRONT, SOLDIER!
